Celebrating the Messiah in Dance
changed my life in a significant way because
I was blessed to be a part of it! When I was
comparing Israel tours, I listed pros and
cons of the Moriah Ministries tour which
would produce this video. Features such as
"small group" fell on the plus side; "have
to dance" (not even true!) was the
only minus. After several warm conversations
with Margaret and much prayer, I knew I was
meant to choose your tour.
I had never
danced before, but all of us were invited
to participate with the dance team as we
prepared for filming throughout Israel. It
was so exciting to go to rehearsals and to
be part of such a project. After some
practice I felt comfortable enough to be
filmed in three dances. I know that my
efforts must encourage others, "If she can
do it, I can" -- and remind us all that
worship, not performance, is our focus. The
workshop in Tiberias provided an
unforgettable time of fellowship and dance
with local believers. Watching the video
brings back so many rich memories of the
whole trip, as a video has to be "the next
best thing to being there."
Since the
Israel tour two years ago, I regularly dance
in my living room as worship. I also dance
with our local messianic congregation. I
have participated in congregational dance at
conferences, and without those beginnings in
Israel, I know I would hold back and stay in
my seat to watch. Now I run up front to join
in! There is a special bond in dancing with
others, even complete strangers. I believe
our worshipping together in dance brings joy
to our Messiah.
So this DVD
brought me from "have to dance" to "can't
live without dancing!" I thank you for your
ministry in my life and for your labors to
promote a unique and beautiful form of
worship.
